Advancing a Diverse Health Workforce

As part of our commitment to help people live healthier lives and help make the health system work better for everyone, the United Health Foundation has funded scholarships for students from diverse backgrounds since 2007.

The United Health Foundation is deepening its efforts to help advance a diverse health care workforce with a 10-year, $100 million commitment. Through the Diversity in Health Care Scholarship program, the United Health Foundation will provide scholarships and support to 10,000 current and future clinicians by 2033.

  • Pursuing various fields, such as nursing, medicine, and mental health
  • Pursuing full-time or part-time education
  • Living in communities across 48 states and the District of Columbia
  • Passionate about supporting underserved communities

 

Scholars are pursuing or advancing careers in a variety of clinical fields including:

Nursing, Physicians, Mental Health, Other, Allied Health, Dental, Pharmacy, Physician Assistants
