Here are 8 Tips to Prepare a Successful Nomination - nominations open
Anyone can nominate! There are no requirements for who can submit a Sages nomination, individuals can also self-nominate. The significance of being nominated for a Sages award is a communication that at least that one person(s) recognizes their work and the good it brings the company, our members and/or their community. Here are some tips to help prepare the nomination:
Three categories of Sages of Clinical Services Awards - Individual, Interprofessional Collaboration and Quality and Patient Safety (QPS).
- Know the changes in 2024:
Simplified the nomination form: Integrated employees will be available to select in the nomination system. Non-integrated employees can be added manually
Quality and Patient Safety award: a key initiative for UnitedHealth Group is quality and patient safety, and to reflect that importance we are adding a new award category. Make sure to review the QPS brochure and consider submitting a nomination(s).
- Collaborate with others when writing the nomination, and make sure to indicate all collaborators when entering the nomination on the Sages submission website.
- Incorporate feedback from a variety of sources, such as teammates, managers and Bravo! awards. Get information on both internal and outside accomplishments, such as awards, volunteering, education advancement, etc.
- The strongest nominations should address each of the six UnitedHealth Group values of integrity, compassion, inclusion (new in 2024), relationships, innovation and performance.
- Give specific and relevant examples to make your point! Be clear, concise and direct.
- Put the most compelling information at the beginning.
- Edit, edit and more edits. A well written nomination gives your nomination a better chance from the start.
- Submit multiple nominations, you can nomination one or more in each category!
