Why did you decide to pursue medicine as a career?

“From my earliest memories, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, it was always to be a physician. I care deeply about the welfare of others and to me, there is no better way to positively impact individuals’ lives than through the practice of medicine.”

Had you not chosen medicine, what would you do?

“I would probably be a real estate developer and an adjunct professor!"

What is the best part of being a physician?

“The connection that can exist between the physician and patient and/or family members is so special to me. The trust that patients have in you to render the best care possible for them is a huge responsibility but also a privilege. I remain tremendously grateful for the opportunity to serve others in this way."

If you were to change medical specialties, what would you choose?

“Interventional cardiologist.”

What would you change about healthcare and the practice of medicine to make it work better?

"My greatest concern is delivering care to patients that doesn’t result in improved outcomes. I hope to leverage my knowledge and experience to make lasting contributions in championing value-based care adoption and equitable care delivery."

How is most of your time spent away from work?

“I love listening to smooth jazz, traveling to beautiful Caribbean beaches, watching football and basketball, and spending time with my family.”

Describe your perfect day off.

“Enjoying a festival with good food, music and beautiful weather.”
