Clinician Leader Executive Program

The Clinician Leader Executive Program (CLEP) is a 12-month, enterprise-wide program offered to clinicians specifically identified by their business leaders as ready to advance their executive mindset and ability and drive change across the company.  Participants in this program are selected through the annual talent nomination process.  If you are interested in being considered for this program, you should speak to your manager and assigned people leader to explore the opportunity.

Target Audienc
e

  • Full time licensed clinician in any role with minimum three years tenure
  • Salary grade 29-M2
  • Demonstrated talent potential and UHG career aspirations
  • Masters’ degree preferred
  • CLL practice expertise: collaborating, communicating effectively, critical thinking, decision-making and assuring results

Nimita Varga Harnesses Technology to Improve Care and Increase Efficacy

Program Components

  • Academic learning experience – In partnership with a leading academic organization and UHG faculty, participants experience a robust executive development curriculum designed to broaden their business and industry knowledge and skills.
  • Executive coaching – Based on Common Language of Leadership and other leadership assessment tools, participants receive 5 coaching sessions with executive coaches.
  • Cohort connections – The cohort is expected to meet on a monthly basis to deepen relationships, support each other and learn and grow together.
  • Career sponsorship – Career sponsors are selected by the participants to help guide and support their career journey and aspirations through a minimum of three sponsor meetings during the program year. 
  • Leadership project – Paired participant groupings select projects that will bring enterprise value and ROI.  They identify a project sponsor, build a project team and drive results over the course of 12 months.  
  • Presentation skills training – Participants receive presentation skills training to help them deliver engaging and crisp executive-level presentations.
  • Mid-term and final project presentations – Projects are presented to executive panels to demonstrate their mid-year progress and end of year success.
