Welcome to the Cleansing Bonfire Reflection

Sign-up for a live event or watch this on-demand presentation that provides an opportunity to pause, reflect, refresh and shift our focus from recent experiences of the year – with its burdens, struggles, victories and surprises – to the coming months ahead..

Cleansing Bonfire Reflection with Brian Hughes, Board Certified Chaplain

Have you had a chance to attend a Cleansing Bonfire? New dates for live sessions in January and February 2024 will be posted here when available. This one hour will provide an opportunity for attendees to answer guided questions from the chaplain who will then share them anonymously with the group. Created in 2020 to address the needs of individuals during a pandemic, Cleansing Bonfires continue to focus on some of life's negative stressors, but it also focuses on new beginnings and ways to positively approach an individual's future.

Goals:

  • Acknowledge and what’s heavy in our lives
  • Create space to celebrate the good we have gained.
  • Collectively inhale a renewed sense of purpose and meaning

If you can't attend live, or there are none offered at this time, consider watching the on-demand version and write down your answer throughout to simulate attending a live meeting.

Words from Clinicians | Cleansing Bonfire

"I found it to be very helpful. My father passed away due to COVID and the presentation provided me an opportunity to reflect on this past year. Typing "My Dad" into the chat for Brian to read aloud regarding grief was meaningful and hearing him gave me the opportunity to reflect and shed a few tears."

Charlene B.

"Thank you for offering this service. Keep up the great work, it is so appreciated. I was moved to tears."

Mindy

"I attended the Cleansing Bonfire this morning. What a peaceful and serene way to start my day! Until you hear it out loud, you don't realize that the way the world is today can really affect your mental health."

Brenda M.

"I attended the cleansing bonfire simply out of curiosity. I found it therapeutic, and I did not realize the time of reflection was needed. Thank you, Center for Clinician Advancement, for this activity."
