What are your passions away from work?

“Spending time with my family (Wife, 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter). All sports, but especially hockey! Love backpacking, camping, rock climbing, ski/snowboarding, hiking, and everything the Rocky Mountains has to offer! Hanging out at the local breweries with friends.”

What does a day in your life look like at work?

"Supporting our nursing and Optum through the use of GIFs (Laughter is the best therapy)! Meetings, reports, and everything equivalent to productivity. I am a transparent leader and will put in all the extra work in supporting our amazing nurses!”

What is the best part of your job?

“I love providing our nurses with the resources and tools for them to have a successful and fulfilling career."

How do you incorporate Quality and Patient Safety into your work?

“Our leadership team is always available to help support PI and patient safety through collaboration with providers, nurses, and pharmacists. We are very active in quality reporting for growth and opportunity in best practice, job satisfaction, and leading initiatives (Policy updates).”

What words would you say to a nurse after a challenging day?

“Success is only achieved through challenging opportunities. Nurses, we appreciate you!”
